Savoring every single word of this BEAUTIFUL book ❤️

Now THIS is a book! I'm not in it too far, but literally every word is magic so far. Absolutely gorgeous writing. Savoring every line!

Putting it down. Not much is happening, and what IS happening is super depressing (which is definitely the point of the book, but also my brain cannot handle this rn)

Putting this down. I'm so intrigued by the premise for the book, but this author is a clunky writer and literally on every page there is a description of someone's skin color. Not what they're wearing, but if they're olive or bronze or pale... I'm all for description but there are much better ways to describe a character. The first 80 pages have mostly been world-building, which is good, but also not much happens

Not sure about this one yet. Choppy writing but I'm intrigued by the characters and the story, so carry on I shall!

Putting it down. Literally nothing has happened. Skip this one, fans of mysteries and thrillers. 👎🏼

On page 85 and I'm starting to see why it's only rated as a 3.5...

Putting this one DOWN. Honestly, it's a bit racist and sexist. It portrays women as super vapid, materialistic,and kinda stereotypical. Also, the black community is pretty stereotypical too. Black characters offering Kool aid to guests where the white characters offer wine and coffee. Had to run to Twitter to see if I was the only one that got these vibes, and I'm not. 😪

Maybe I don't like this book???!!!

I love her books. The plot MOVES and quickly. And her books are so creepy that I have to stop reading them at night 😳👻 This one is not a horror but it have some elements of the grotesque in it--very southern gothic in spots. Love it.

Bored. Putting it down. It reads like a TV show which would be great if it were a TV show,which apparently it will be soon. Slow book.

This book may be a little too romancey for me....

This book is hitting me right in my heart. Like almost crying on every page. Like I literally went and knocked on my kids' doors at 10pm just so I could see them and give them a hug and tell them goodnight and that I love them. They're 23, 20, and 20--not much older than the character Todd. No idea where this book is going, but I'm a long for the ride even if it is a gut-puncher.

Really cute book so far. Love me a good YA novel.
