so boring so moreish.

as said on the tin. reproduces jung's map of the soul with all its intricacies and colour, brilliance & insight. having read some jung already it's not exactly new, but it's extremely well presented & lucid on jung's sherpa-esque activity. he's still running people to their peak from his grave.

can an author be considered a favourite after only two stories (shorts!)? the nose and the overcoat -- holy shit. man knows how to entertain.

finished w/ jung's opening. powerful, interesting perspective as always, if a little stretched at times.

god damn he's good

so far every time i've sat down to read borges it's been a tug of war. at first a disdain for the struggle and effort (his biceps are huge), then for what i feel myself lacking. then, all of a sudden, this titan of imagination pulls just a little more (grinning) and i'm sliding through the fantastical labyrinth of his mind and i
can't tell if i'm being captured or saved. needless to say once pulled it's bliss.

book one down. feel like i have blood on my hands. washing w/ soap.

stevens found the portal into jung's brain like craig did malkovich. lucid & engaging

gold at the end of a black & white rainbow, streaming wonder & carver. edging because it's too good to finish.
