Sorry I'm still at the Czech part, but what is the name 'Andel' supposed to be? 😅 Like does someone with the name exist? (In the female version yes, but I suppose this is meant as a male name?)
Well on the other side, the author clearly knows something about Czechia because:
1) she doesn't use the short name
2) she wrote Plzeň a rajská omáčka correctly
So maybe she knows someone named Andel...

We know that I'm a sucker for any mentioning of Czech Republic, but randomly finding Ella enchanted in a bookstore - that's more than hust a fiction that's a miracle xD

I had to Google and there truly is a book series called 'Mercy Watson' - and now my brain demands and answer. Is it pure coincidence that it sounds so similar to the other popular book series 'Percy Jackson'? Or is it because of some weird science with soun and human memory?
