So the blurb on this book hooked my interest. What kind of story has a masseuse as the MC? Not quite the Conan wannabe MCs you see in most of these HaremLit books.

So far typical men's HaremLit fantasy with one male nailing any available woman within reach. Of course none of them mind that he is sleeping with all of them - pure fantasy, and smack to crap out of the "I Believe" button, while suspending any expectation of reality.

I had forgotten how much some of the French personel pissed me off.

My 2nd time reading this book. I had forgotten how much the French leaders in exile in this book pissed me off.

This has been a decent writing encouragement book. It might not work for everyone, but there are a few gems in this book. I especially like her suggested reading lists.

I think I have read this book before, but not sure as I think that I remember the concubine. If I did read this it was quite a few years ago before Goodreads helped me track the books I have read. I may remember the ending but I won't know until I get there.

This has been a decent book. A lot of the spelunking I found rather tedious but the rest has been ok. Depending on how this book ends, I may read the second in this series, although I understand it was published after the author's death. So far this is much less graphic both sexually and violently than Lustbader's ninja books.

Compared to Eric Van Lustbader, this book starts very similarly - a Western child brought up in Asia. While Nic Hel is pure Westerner, Nicholas Linear (Lustbader's MC) is partially Asian.

So just got to the point were OBL has been killed. Interesting that he claims only he shot OBL while there is another former SEAL claiming that he was the one. Interesting that both of these former Super Secret Squirrels are trying to make bank of the killing of OBL. I am hoping that this book explains why he opened his mouth and started the roaring dumpster fire.

This has been a decent military memoir - so far. Some of these books are so full of Rah! Rah! BS that causes Vets such as myself to roll our eyes and skip ahead until the Rah! Rahing! BS ends. Some are so bad thy get tossed in the DNF pile.

Now that I am mostly through this book, it certainly has picked up pace. Compared to other books where Sean barely moved or changed anything, in this book several long-standing plot lines are closing. With this author that is usually a sign that the series will be ending in the next book or two.
