I think I'll whiz through this 119-pager, just before immersing myself in the intricacies of The Devil of Nanking. The Alchemist is to be read soon, too - finally! Then at least one more pick for Black History Month, plus some of my favourite X-Men comics (gosh did I have a crush on Paul Smith's Rogue, in my youth...), all kinds of good stuff packed into a short, vibrant month.

I've read two wonderful books by the author, so I'm expecting something like that. Have done the Preface, and the Prologue, and ready for more. This is my first pick geared towards Black History Month - I have a few SF reads handy now, and a couple of classic writings on order.

The stories have been great. A strong anthology.

Book 2 in a series, but I'm not lost. May go back and get Book 1, we'll see. Wiggins, a s a former Baker St. Irregular, does seem like a guy who had some Sherlock rub off on him. I like the tension. I also like stuff set in the Edwardian era...although, now it's not.

This month’s reading will revolve around Black History Month, and Espionage, and trying to read only one book set in the US, and maybe a few other goals and sub-routines. Crime & Mystery always around one of the corners coming up. Women writers should probably be a priority. On and on, and only a short month to get it sorted…
