My students had to read “The Namesake”, which talks a lot about cultural and personal identity. Some likes it, while others….
Let’s just say that if I could assign THIS book instead (even though none of my students are Jamaican and some of the content is intended for a post high school audience) I would; it’s very good!

Good, not great. I am waiting for something really great to happen, but the plot is stagnated on the idea of Klara wanting to please, knowing that-spoiler-she will… ok, I won’t give it away, but you kind of figure it out early on.
