Maas uses the term "male" too liberally. Far too liberally. Far, far too liberally. What is a "male stare?" That's the least descriptive look I've ever heard. Do people who sleep with men understand what that means? Is is a state secret? It sounds flipping fake as fuck to me. I can say FOR A FACT I've never seen a "female stare" before so what is this? Men have their own way of looking now? Ugh. They boned.

Goodness this book feels long. I get it's a big book, but it feels longer.

At this point I'm really tired of Rhys and Feyre not boning. I guess the tension is supposed to be there, but I'm not dedicated enough to care. Like bone or don't bone please, this book is taking forever.

I feel like this book could have been edited down by a couple hundred pages. Not that I'm uninterested, but that I'm unexcited by the dragging-on of the plot.

Is it better than ACOTAR? Yes. Is that saying much? No. I almost wish ACOTAR just didn't exist, if Maas was going to make the reader dislike Tamlin anyway? That being said, I think both Rhysand and Tamlin and fuckers and neither of them should be permitted in polite society. While some might forget Rhysand's crimes in ACOTAR, I shall not. #consentissexy

The fact that Tamlin got a personality only for it to be Abusive is giving me whiplash. Like, this is the same man whose personality could be blown away by a soft breeze? Were we all gaslit by Tamlin? And frankly Rhysand as well? Who knew the same man who touted Feyre as a forced plaything was secretly a feminist? Like this whole thing is ridiculous but also at this point am I surprised?
