You know it goes to show how much society works to make us all dislike media made for young women that in the years since I read this considered it kind of lame, only to reread them and realize they're still lit up I just subscribed to anti feminist hate. That being said, fuck love triangles ugh

is this....just a faerie Christmas story? I...don't know how I feel about that. On one hand, how delightful. On another hand, did they say they had sex in the sky?!

I thought this was a pirate book but really it's a feminist literary fiction disguised as a pirate book which isn't in and of itself bad, but I find literary fiction to most oftentimes be boring as hell and this is no exception. It's probably great if you like lit fic, but as I was expecting fun pirates I am massively disappointed

I would read two thousand pages of British people being confused by weird American culture. You can tell Rowell has been to Nebraska by the way she beefs on it for like ten pages.

The most shocking part of reading these books as an adult is how shocked I am that these kids are in charge of a major battle. I'm so worried for them! I hate those moments when I realize I've become adult-lame. Like I went to a restaurant the other day and our server looked like he'd just been born. I used to be cool once, and now I pay taxes.
