I see this is different! This is not the suspense or build-up of a paranormal mystery. I guess this is a thriller author adding the paranormal and a small bit of mystery. With that she experimented with erotica and is portraying alcoholism and shame. The story is in enough motion to keep the pages turning but I won't call this is an award-winner for me. I wish it were, when my spouse bought me the hardcover new.

This is a hardcover: no freebie or e-book throwaway, folks. Knowing my spouse probably bought it at a new Canadian price, I hope I like it!

This sensational adventure that is a pure mystery, not the mass-produced crime sctick, unexpectedly hit another high note on my wish list and blew my mind in this chapter! This novel could not be any more exicting and emotional in a positive way, unless it had been made for adults; my sole remaining wish. It is so good that I neither want the story to end, nor will I go long without finishing it!

Have any of you wondered what I mean, when I refer dreamily to non-crime mysteries? I don't want a dry detective case. I want the thrill of searching, decoding, discovering, and answering tantalizing questions - regarding anything but a theft or murder. The quest of discovery is a pure, real mystery to my eyes. That is what Kate Milford has written! If she had grown-up protagonists, it would make 100% perfection.

This book is so phenomenal, so precisely the non-crime mystery I look for, that I am glad falling asleep stops me from wooshing through this thrilling adventure!

I have a new favourite authoress and series! Don't you love it when books are just as good as they sound and look?

I object to two horrible animal cruelty chapters, in which awful disposable mindsets came to the forefront that ought not have been written down in literature for chlldren. Before and afterwards, the book is beautiful. I was glad to progress ahead, to a moving chapter entirely about Anne's parents. That is what I want to read! Anne got mementoes to hold in her hands and at last visited her Nova Scotia birthplace!

Chapter twelve is about creative writing and Anne's diverse two beta readers.

I have arrived at chapter ten, which looks like it is going to be very memorable, special, and atmospheric: "Patty's Place"!

I have delighted in finally reading "Anne Of Green Gables" in June 2020 and "Anne Of Avonlea" in October 2020. I used my individual paperbacks to count each story at Goodreads. Now that I am at the third novel, "Anne Of The Island", I am recording the boxset with which it belongs.

I am zooming through with delight. I stopped merely because I feel asleep.

After a five-star adventure with Sarah Brandt and Frank Malloy, featuring her Ellsworth neighbours and her uptown parents, I had to stay in 1900s New York. Molly Murphy, Irish sleuth, gives me just the right atmosphere!
