Harry and Dumbledore meet Horace Slughorn and Harry convinces him to teach at Hogwarts. Harry arrives at the Burrow, and Dumbledore will apparently be teaching the coming year.

Dumbledore also tells Harry that Sirius left literally everything he had to Harry, including Grimmauld Place and Kreature. Also, once he reaches the age of 17, he can no longer be protected by visiting the Dursleys house or something?

Ch. 1 was all about the prime minister and the new minister of magic & some cornelius fudge. Ch. 2 was Narcissa and Bellatrix visiting Snape (he still serves Voldemort) & Draco is supposed to do something big as punishment for Lucius’ mistakes (im assuming killing Dumbledore). Snape and Narcissa make an Unbreakble Vow. In Ch. 3, Dumbledore comes to pick up Harry from the Dursleys and drop him off at the burrow.

I just finished it! Harry grieves for Sirius and doesn’t really know how to feel. Everything is back to normal at school - Umbridge is booted out. Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes are doing really good. Plus, everyone is back to greet Harry and everyone once they get off the Hogwarts Express. Lupin, Tonks, and Moody basically threaten Uncle Vernon - they want him to be treated better or else they’ll come pay a visit.

Dumbledore tells Harry the truth about the prophecy. It could’ve been Neville!

They broke into the Department of Mysteries. Sirius, Lupin, and everyone else come to save them. All of the Death Eaters and Voldemort are there. Ron was attacked by a brain and sounded drunk. No one knows what happened to him. Woops. Dumbledore also comes along. He kicks Umbridge out and Hagrid can return. The prophecy orb is broken and no one could hear it. Sirius dies and possibly Tonks. Behind the veil was death?

So...Harry, Hermione, Ginny, Luna, Ron, and later on, Neville get Harry and Hermione into Umbridge’s office where they talk to Kreature and Sirius is gone. Umbridge gets them out of the fire and captures them. She almost puts the Crutacius curse on Harry. Anyways they get her out to the forest where the centaurs attack her and carry her off. The centaurs attack Grawp and Herman and Arry get away. And then they get

They take their OWLs, Hagrid is attacked by Umbridge and some other people but escapes, and Harry has a dream during his History of Magic exam that Voldemort’s torturing Sirius and/or that Sirius is doing something for him. Either way he looks pretty beat up and Hermione’s in a horrible mood. Ron’s funny as usual.

Gryffindor wins the Quidditch Cup thing!! The Weasley’s escape becomes legendary. Hagrid is about to get sacked. Hagrid also brings Harry and Hermione into the Forbidden Forest to show them Grawp - his giant half-brother. He wants them to teach him English once he leaves. They aren’t sure what to do because it wouldn’t be safe visiting him.

5th year students get career advice. Harry spots Hagrid coming out of the Forbidden Forest looking not too good. Fred and George set off one of their portable swamp things, leave the school, and announce Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes. Harry also breaks into Umbridge’s office to use her fire to talk to Sirius and Lupin about what he saw in Snape’s memory.

Harry takes a nice little trip into Snape’s memories and Fred and George set off a bunch of fireworks around the school. We also find out about the Inquisitorial Squad that Umbridge has set up.

The D.A meetings are stopped - Umbridge catches them. Marietta ratted them out. They have their first astrology class with Firenze. Dumbledore disappears after a fight in his office with Umbridge and a bunch of other people. Therefore, Umbridge becomes the Headmaster of Hogwarts.

Harry has another crazy dream, Ron and Ginny don’t do too well at Quidditch, the Quibbler article turns out to work - mostly everyone believes Harry, and Harry gets a bit better at Occlumency. And Trelawney almost gets sacked but doesn’t.

Harry’s date with Cho goes real bad, Ron goes to Quidditch practice, another educational decree is made, Hermione gets Rita Skeeter to help Harry to publish the truth (stuff about Voldemort) for free, and Harry sees Hagrid in the Three Broomsticks for a minute or two and he seems quite upset. Also, a Mr. Bode who worked in the Department of Mysteries was strangled by Devils Snare and 10 insane death eaters escaped

Harry learns Occlumency with Snape and Voldemort’s really happy about something.

Kreachers missing, its Christmas, Hermione comes to Grimmauld Place and they all visit St. Mungos - they see Lockhart and Neville and his family there. Harry also considers running away to Privet Drive but thw Phineas guy in his portrait stops him.

harry attacks Arthur Weasley and they go back to grimmauld place.

ron gets bullied by the slytherins :( harry fred and george are banned from quidditch. thats pretty much it. hagrid’s back and they found a place for the D.A meetings.

uhh...harry screwed up on his potion again in class so he had to right an essay. Sirius pops in the fire but Umbridge almost catches him (literally, with her hand). All of the teachers are still getting inspected and theres a new decree put out that you cant have a group with 3+ members & it has to be approved. F&G’s business is THRIVING. so proud of them :)

First Quidditch practice doesn’t go too well, they get a letter from Percy, find out stuff in the Daily Prophet about Sturgis Podmore, and talk to Sirius in the fire in the common room.
