When people are gushing over this particular romance book full of funny and sassy banters, and I didn't even laugh when I read it because I thought the humor was too western, I'd be like:

well, this started a little boring but now i'm a little invested—at least enough for me not to DNF.

there's one scene that's similar with The Deal. the hero and the heroine watching and discussing a TV show lol

I am no grammar expert but the lack of quotation marks in dialogues is pushing me to the edge of literary breakdown.

I cannot believe that this is a debut novel. The way these words are strung together captures my breath!

ah, very telenovela, and i love it so much!

I am shocked and somehow glad that there's a trans character in this historical type of a novel. :)

so far, the story is still on its generic state. nothing mind-blowing is happening, and i'm way past the middle.

at first i thought i wouldn't like it but so far, this is interesting. i am a sucker for the DID trope in psychological thrillers!

After reading a lot of posts about LJ Shen drama, I decided NOT TO READ any of her books from now on.

I've read Vicious last year, and it was uhh, mediocre at its best.

I'm not supporting a super problematic author.
