Status Updates From Join Me

Giving up on reading this. I don't know why but I could never fully get I to the story so I'm going to just forget about it!

Phew, that's done.

This is a page per minute book. Should have it polished off in a couple of hours tomorrow. Hopefully.

Just because I read a book faster doesn't mean I'm interested. It's just as likely that I'm bored and I want to get it over and done with.

Making some progress. Author annoys me. I think he's trying to be too much like me. Hmm.

Lots more interesting things to do than read this.

I too have eaten in Bonsoir Clara in Brussels, a couple of years before Danny here. It was quite highly rated then, and still seems quite good on Trip Advisor now.

Danny Wallace comes across as quite a berk, but then he meets Joinee Benjamin who believes all the conspiracy theories about New World Order, The Process, The Children, The Finders, The Sovereign Order of the Solar Temple, International Chivalric Organisation, The Moon Child, The Golden Way Foundation, and The Luciferians.

And the 'Karma Army' is formed - let's all join and make every Friday a 'Good Friday' by doing good via Random Acts of Kindness on that day!

I open the book to the quote by Margaret Mead: 'Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.', reminding me of another person who likes and uses this quote, someone that I hold in great esteem, and I just know this is going to be another great book by Danny Wallace. YAY!

Back onto it. It is quite an interesting idea so far.

Not really in the mood for this after all as it is so similar to a book I just finished. Hence I started reading another book, but I will come back to this as I do want to read it.

"Incredibly, no one at Heathrow recognised me...this would never have happened to me in Brussels, back among my own people". I find it fascinating that the author is commenting upon his own narcissism. I applaud his honesty.

I kind of feel for this guy. He's discovered that people within his own movement aren't all nice guys and sometimes don't respect your ideologies of equality. Kind of like radical feminists attempts to tarnish feminism's reputation. Luckily we have Malala and Emma Watson.

I will finish this book this weekend

this book is kind of like a gothic in the sense it involves a passive yet temperamental and destructive partner who taints the main protagonists quest for glory

I really want to like this book, my sociology teacher loves it and it's really good for my course. It's funny so far though, he's thinking of growing old alongside "jonesy"

My copy is actually 50 pages longer, so I'm not leaving the book with 15 pages left :')
