Terribly confusing with many characters and convoluted plot and awkward, cold writing style.

First - a very wrong scene.
Second - the not-a-hero tries to act like his horrible deeds were somehow lesser than the other not-a-hero's bad deeds. Right - and robbing a bank is obviously less awful than stealing a dollar from mom's purse.
Third - somehow, the not-a-hero has a pet panther (okay, so that part's kind of badass)
Fourth - there's random magic FOR NO REASON.
WTF kind of madness is this?

Oh crap. I officially hit the awkward bodice ripper dubcon scene.

This hero has a 'hero' walkthrough, with cheat sheets and god-mode codes!

I'm kind of at odds with this book; it's a beautifully written Cinderella type of story; full of magic, abusive guardians and mindreaders. We didn't find that out until AFTER the heroine was put through a bit of hell, when by simply having her mind read, would have given them the truth. >:/

A friend of mine sent me this book on mistake. What a great mistake it was. I am really enjoying this book.
