Ok.. I'm finally reading this! YAY!

So, this is part a unique and eye opening story, being inside of a transgender person's head. But at the same time, it is your generic high school story. And I don't think there is one person of color, so a little disappointing?

The portrayal of Amanda in the book is something that i really admire. With the transgender issue being in the news, it's like it's giving others things to hope for

This book is so profound that I just want to shirk all my responsibilities and devour it. I'm in love.

I love the dark tone the 1st couple of pages is giving off. it will be interesting to see how all this will play out

As someone who works in a high school, I loathe promposals. But THIS is so damn cute.

I am so so so nervous for Amanda when she tells her truth. Omg, I just realized...I hope she's the one who gets to tell it, when SHE'S ready.

This is so so good!

There are some really important discussions about suicide within the LGBT+ community. On top of that, there are really beautiful moments in between all of the hard hitting topics.

This book...everyone needs to read it.

Amanda just completed her m-to-f transition and moved in with her estranged father who feels beholden to be begrudgingly tolerant to get a fresh start somewhere where no one knows her past. On her first day of school, she meets a boy with whom she has an instant mutual attraction. I can't see how this can end any way but utter disaster.

This book was recommended by a few friends on my list. I decided to read and review it!

Finished, review to come. A solid 4 stars. The ending to me felt a little rushed compared to the progression of the events in the beginning of the book and felt like it could've been a bit more vetted given how Amanda's identity was revealed. I am glad to see that Amanda had several people around her who were supportive. Review TC.

About less than 100 pages shy of the ending. Grant and Amanda have some really cute moments throughout the book. Should be finished within the hour (though I said that before and ended up getting distracted by life. Bah humbug.)
