Finished, review to come. A solid 4 stars. The ending to me felt a little rushed compared to the progression of the events in the beginning of the book and felt like it could've been a bit more vetted given how Amanda's identity was revealed. I am glad to see that Amanda had several people around her who were supportive. Review TC.

I was afraid that Amanda's father's reaction would be something like that after seeing the story she'd written back when she was younger and identified as Andrew. Still hurts to read because that's a reaction that happens more often than not, and shows how heavily people put associations of gender in a limited scope.

OMG, Amanda drew Sailor Moon fanart? YAAAS. (Not going to lie, I did as a teenager as well. Sailor Mercury was my most frequented sailor scout to draw. Random personal note.)

My galley copy is only 191 pages, so this is likely to be a fast read. My heart hurts for the MC already because it's clear she's struggling with feeling acceptance among her peers. I'm still jumping between reads, but I think I'll finish this in one sitting because I'm pulled in by the story and the strong writing.
