A few things here that aren't quite ringing true. Like the narrator's friend saying she didn't have a chance to warn her about something, even though they both had phones and she sent her a text just a few minutes earlier. Makes it seem like the author wants to set up a dramatic situation but isn't really making the effort to make it realistic.

I have been listening to this audiobook & loving Amanda, so happy for her & her new life in a new town. I never read the synopsis and I have been listening terrified that her joy would be shattered and holy hell. My heart is breaking right now. The anger that comes with ignorance, how scary anything 'different' can be for those too small minded to see beyond their own life experiences.
