Lord Lovedon's Duel is okay. It's way shorter than the first story and there's not much real development. It's essentially a single conflict that takes too long to resolve despite the shortness. Also, not a fan of having 15% filler at the end of this already-short Kindle...

Lord Lovedon's Duel is a delight. It's mostly a two-day relationship establishment and then a quick jump to the relationship conclusion/proposal. Chase shows how this is done by presenting a vector and letting the reader fill in the continuity between the two points. And it works marvelously. Five stars, easy.
