So far this book is proving to be very enlightening about the roles and perceptions of the courts in the early republic. Ellis’s analysis of the Jeffersonians is also giving me a more nuanced understanding of their party.

Trudging along through judicial reforms in Kentucky and Pennsylvania. Nothing is more boring to a New Yorker than Pennsylvanian politics. Snore!

This is the most engrossing history book I've ever read; I'm happy that I took this history course on Federalism and Jeffersonianism!
