Tharindu Dissanayake Oh, another 5-book year it looks like 😄 Good luck with the challenge, Vaishali! Hope you'll have the most amazing year, with loads of new books to fall in love with.. 😊

message 10: by Milton (new)

Milton Vaishali girl! I hope you have a good year and I'm always looking forward to seeing what romances you're reading. 🤩

Have you ever read any Harlequin romances? I've got a huge stack of them and I dunno how I'll get to them. lol. I feel like everyone likes to kind of poke fun at Harlequin sometimes but I dunno. I like it! 😆They're fun, short and often give me the romance story I'm looking for at the moment. Basically the cool guy and cute girl but that's kind of how I describe every romance I read. 😂😍

But I rambled long enough. lol. Have a good year! 🎉

Yes it is Tharindu! I'd rather not feel the pressure of hitting a goal so the reductionistic strategy seems to be working for me 🤞🏽😂

That's so kind of you to say. I hope yours will be as amazing, if not more than my own. Many many great reads to you friend.

Aaw, thank you Milton! Sadly, a lot of the romances I hope to love just aren't doing it for me, so I'm definitely looking to be more selective with titles this year. Or maybe read more Fantasy Romance? We'll see. I want five stars all year lol (we'll just pretend this is the realistic goal I demand it to be 😂). That's wonderful that you love Harlequin, and honestly they have a big readership Milton so if hits your spot, nobody's to judge but you 😉... I can't say I have read a Harlequin title but maybe I will one day since I'm known to watch a lot films of the kind. Your description is exactly why I like them too, so feel good. Lol, wishing you a brilliant year friend! And here's to hoping you tackle that Harlequin stack 🥳🤞🏽

Update: 2 down, three to go lol. Technically though I'm almost finished with book 4 on the list 🥳

Zeeshan Imtiazi I have a niece who has a naff for fantasies and romance and what else. Once I saw her one book that got me to read a few pages, is James Islington's The Shadows Of What Was Lost, and genres-alike for Brandon Sanderson as well.

I do hope [Insh-Allah] you get to pursue the remaining 5 books out of a possible 19, although only read 14, and good luck with that!

Hi Zeeshan, thank you for your comment, I'm so sorry I'm only replying now, I must've missed it! And I have to favour the genre choices of your niece, two great genres right there. There's a lot of love out there for Sanderson so I have no doubt he'll thrill you as a great fantasy writer (from what I hear lol). I hope you're enjoying your favourite genre preferences as well and hope you have a great 2024 reading year!
