Karen’s Quotes

“It was refreshing, and nice, and sweet—to be given something so I didn’t have to want it in the first place.”

“The town was quiet in that cozy, sleepy way that if you closed your eyes, you could almost hear the valley breathe as wind crept through it, between the buildings, and was sighed out again.”

“I wanted adventure, like my mom, but I always found excuses not to take them because I was afraid of getting hurt. Like Bilbo in The Hobbit, safe in the burrow of my home where no one but bookish villains and paper cuts could hurt me.”
― Ashley Poston, A Novel Love Story

“I just didn't want to be here anymore. I wanted to get lost. I wanted to burrow myself somewhere out in the woods with my favorite books and a bottle of wine, and never see anyone again. Never have the opportunity to meet someone new. Never give my heart the chance to fall again.”
― Ashley Poston, A Novel Love Story

“To remind us that like a starling’s song, all stories are different,”
