Patrick wanted to be a Math Teacher but found himself in the Construction trades ten years. He received an empowerment from the Dalai Lama in 1992 and became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 1994. Patrick sold his first article to Massage Magazine in 2001, about how to use Tonglen and Santideva's exercises as therapy. In 2002 he published Melting Muscles in Massage&Bodywork. In 2003 his Atlas and Axis article was published in Massage Therapy Journal.
