There's occasional issues like this in the book, where actions are hard to visualize. This is Janelle waking up in bed, her eyeglasses beside her. I can't see how she's moving her shoulders here, do people wake up and do this? What kind of shake? Shrugging? Shimmying? I can't move my own body in a way that makes this work.
