Rhysand. Rhysand, Rhysand, Rhysand. A sheep in wolf’s clothing (ha). All I needed was the first few chapters of ACOMAF to know that I would eventually fall in love with him. As much as my heart initially ached for Tamlin, I see why he’s not right for her; not anymore.

Feyre has grown so, so much. With Tamlin, he just became too focused on doing what he thought was best for her that he near ruined her in the process. Gone is the old Tamlin who I admired in ACOTAR.

So is Lucien, I believe... But perhaps not; he should not be judged too harshly as he was being controlled by his High Lord. I found myself missing his presence and friendship with Feyre for the majority of the story. I missed him until they met again in the forest and found out that he’s been hunting her this whole time, and was still being brainwashed by Tamlin. His mate bond with Elain surprised me; I hope he becomes better for her.

The Inner Circle is a family like no other. Every page you read just makes you feel for attached to them all: Mor, her fierce loyalty and love; Amren, her strength, humour and obvious underlying care she feels for everyone; Cassian, his calm and comforting presence; and Azriel, the fierce solider we all need.

Okay, now back to Rhysand. In ACOTAR he is painted as such a villain and dark character that most are forced to hate him as Feyre did then. In ACOMAF everything makes sense. You go through, grow and learn so much with Rhys. Every sacrifice he’s made, making and willing to make for those he cares about. His past.

Their mating was just so fitting. When Feyre allowed herself to be brought back to the Spring Court at the end, my heart broke.

This book just kept me up at night, straining my eyes in the dark just so that I could keep reading (thanks Sarah, you owe me glasses when the time comes!).

I can’t believe that there’s only one more book left in the series after this which is out. May can’t come fast enough!! ...more "
