Starting #2 "The After House" by Mary Roberts Rinehart .. on 7-6-12 - finished it on 7- 7-12. This is an old one too. Poor young man, just graduated from Med. School with a four month vacation before he starts his residency, gets a summer job working on a yacht, a murder or three...
Next book is called "The Angel of Terror" by Edgar Wallace. Started 7-7-12. Finished book three on7-9-12. Liked it, tho it was not great. Intertaining , funny kind of plot that twists and turns until you you want to root for the bad guys...
Starting book # 4 is called "The Attic Murder" by Sydney Fowler Wright... on 7-9-12... Finished 7-11-12.... I really enjoyed this book. So many twists and turns you can not guess who the real killer was. This is the Author who put this collection of "25 Thrillers" together. Would gladly read any of his books. He has a very active imagination.
Book #5 - " The Avenger" by E. Phillips
Oppenhiem .. started 7-16-2012 kind of a mystery - love story and wrong place vs wrong man who helps. finished 7-18-12
Started "Basil" on 7-19-12. Well to do man (2nd son) who's Father is PROUD of his lineage, so second son marries a merchant's daughter in secret for one year,..
.. by the end of the year, on the day he was going to claim her - his father disowns him, sister loves him, and his big brother comes back from carousing around to help his brother. A crazy man is in the background of the whole story with his own agenda, and book ends with no wife, crazy man, no father and a self defense murder... lots of unexpected twists. finished 7-23-12.
The Black Gang by Herman Cyril McNeile is next - starting on 8-24-2012 and I liked this one a lot. Kind of a flat story but it held my interest. An English Gentleman turns to removing the people who tried to teach comunisum to the children in school. He rounds up 60 of them and then.... finished 8-25-2012.
Starting on 8-26-2012 is The Blue Lights by Fredrick Arnold Kummer ... a good mystery but it was a mystery to me why the cops had the wife's help and the husband worked for the victim...all in secret ..it was ok and I finished it 9-5-2012.
Started "The Burial of the Rats" by Bram Stoker on 9-6-2012.

Started "City Crimes" 6-13-2013 ... this was a good read. However The Crime of the Centuary was the worst book ever. So many names, facts, figures, Irish politics, on and on. The worst. On page 2088, starting 4-9-14, by Henry L. Hunt. Starting Cross Cut now.. this one written byCourtney Riley Cooper.
Cross Cut was really a good story. About a fathers silver mine accident, and a dead partner. I enjoyed the other partner and the mans son. Sabatoge, lies and murder are on the menu, but all turns out well, and the son gets the girl... finished 4-13-14. I started ?.. Dead men tell no Tales 4-14-14.
Finished this one on 4-16-14. This book is about a plot to steel gold from a mine in Alstralia. They summguled it onto the boat, and then blew up the boat, so they could steel it. They killed all the crew and passengers, but one. When all excitement settles down, they befriend the survivor and trick him to see how much info he knows. Good story with a surprize ending. Next up is, Desperate Remedies, started 4-17-14. ...more "
