Billy McLaughlin is a 38 year old writer from Glasgow who has published four novels in the crime genre.

The first is Invisible, a novelette about a woman who hides the true nature of her private life from a colleague that she's befriended. However, he delves in further under the belief that he can help her with horrible consequences.

The second of his books, and the first in the DI Morris series, tells the story of a young woman who has lost her way and ends up on the streets. As her life continues to break under the rubble, she finds herself at the heart of a murder where she's the obvious suspect.

I have a whirlwind of idea's, and ended up starting a new book before I'd even finished writing or editing the next one on release. I currently have the synopsis for 9 books.(less)

They blow up in your mind and become almost real. That's been fantastic because when I started writing my first book, it was very much standalone. I have no plans to re-use the characters from that book because I feel that their story was so complete that I couldn't find a place for them in the near future. However, characters from my second book "Lost Girl" have already found their way into the plot for book 3. (less)

Kindle Unlimited - a service worth paying for

I've read a few comments recently about how people are being shortchanged by Kindle Unlimited because it doesn't have big names or many bestsellers on it's list. I don't think its amazon that is short changing people as much as it is the major publishing houses not embracing the change to how people are reading.
