A pitch dark horror story about what writers will sacrifice to satisfy the muse. A grim but propulsive read; very much has an 80s/90s horror vibe.

Dark, ominously scary and well modulated, but somehow I felt just let down at the end. Nonetheless, still feel Auerbach is one to watch.
