About my memoir, My Life in Dog Years

I fell in love with dogs when I was a young kid. Since the first pup, Scrappy, I’ve owned countless dogs. Literally, I cannot count the number. In this memoir, I tell the stories of the most memorable among my beautiful pets. It’s funny and sad and nutty in places because I’m nutty in places. Well, not all places. Anyway, it’s gotten some good reviews. Heads up: It does involve an incident of childhood sexual trauma. But you could skip that. ;-)

My permanent home is Oakland, CA.

Neither phone would ring when we followed the dialing instructions on the Web site.
A call to OneSimCard service lasted over forty-five minutes. She could not understand wh Read more of this blog post »

This incoherent mess of a book is a slog for a plebeian such as me. I waited patiently for something to happen. Surely the point of story telling is to have a story to tell. But apparently not. Lockwood’s book almost makes me sympathetic to this nati ...more
