For me it was a giant poodle named Henry. I was told not to adopt him because, “He’s a biter.” He was. A 70 pound poodle doesn’t have the bite strength of a pit bull, but he can draw blood. But Henry was also charming, funny, and lovable. When he finally stopped treating me as one of the gang and instead regarded me as the love of his life, he stopped biting me. The only dog I ever owned who told me a joke—the same joke over and over, like a toddler. I laughed every time. So which dog did you grieve the most?

My Airedale Terrier, Sneakers. If you want to know why he's missed, just go to YouTube and search for funny Airedale Terrier videos. Also, because his death was unexpected; Airedales are very stoic and don't show pain. Sneakers had bladder cancer and we didn't know about it, until his bladder burst. I had to take him to the vet to have him to go over the Rainbow Bridge, so I was with him for that.
