Eli Shmueli (1977) is an Israeli writer and poet living in Jerusalem, Israel. His novel Marginsman, published in Israel in 2015, received the Israeli Ministry of Culture prize for Debut Literary Work, and three other literary prizes in Israel.

Shmueli's poems appear in Israeli national newspapers and in literary magazines, and were translated into Arabic, English and Spanish. His writing may be described as "dirty realism", as it focuses on the individuals who are commonly ignored in popular culture - the unsuccessful, those who did not accomplish their dreams. A collection of his poetry, The God That Failed Is You, was published in 2017. His coming novel will be published in 2019 by Am Oved Publishers.
