After 30 years as a controller of catastrophes for corporations and governments, the author traveled in search of some calm and contentment. He journeyed to Europe and retired there after arriving in Provence and finding La Burlande B&B. He happily practices his Fabulous French now in the “South” of France.
He writes stories about family, primarily aimed at reconnecting with his three children and eight grandchildren. His books reflect on the curious coincidences in life. He speaks of discerning the meanings and purposes of events; an entertaining personal exercise tying the threads of family with the little-heralded histories of our larger worlds. He has just begun to publish to the general public.

The piece of a life story we identify easily has to be something wow, big, extraordinary. For example: my nephew did family research during the COVID and totally changed the way our family views itself. His research produced an incredible story, epic, documented beyond dispute or any disbelief, so now weave that into a plot for a book; there's the creative challenge. But to the more personal mystery: at three or four, mommy says "You're lucky you lived at birth..."; so nice to be informed at that age then left hanging 'til the next installment which, at another sensitive point in development, comes as "...there are reasons you are so very different from the rest [six children total]." After she passed away, I discovered something very life-impacting at the age of of 63. ... Plot? Book? Oui!(less)
