Domino Finn is an entertainment industry veteran, a contributor to award-winning video games, and the grizzled Urban Fantasy author of the best-selling Black Magic Outlaw series. His stories are equal parts spit, beer, and blood, and are notable for treating weighty issues with a supernatural veneer. If Domino has one rallying cry for the world, it's that fantasy is serious business.

5 books and 1 short story aren't enough?!? :)

There's another short story in the pipeline. After that, the good news is we'll see Cisco around again eventually. As far as a true spin-off with separate characters, I've been playing with an idea set in the same world but in Los Angeles. That should give you enough info for a guess, but nothing's set in stone.(less)

Don’t Call It A Comeback

It’s been years since I’ve retired this blog.

The thinking was that I was busy writing books, why distract myself with these posts too? And it was understandable. With email, and Facebook, and a newsletter, and advertising – cuts had to happen somewhere.

I’ve since more or less abandoned Facebook. I still check in and chat with various authors I know, and I will absolutely give my readers updates in

“Life's about experiences, not things." I”
Domino Finn, Dead Man

“I dialed Evan's number and watched the mirror. "You were there?!?" were the first words out of his mouth, usual incredulous tone included. "Of course I was there. Why else would I be calling? Wait—which shootout are you talking about?" "It doesn't matter!!! You were there for one of them.”
Domino Finn, Open Season

“Society was crazy like that, able to move past a tragedy and keep grinding. Not judge ourselves too harshly. Push past grief in order to live life. It was a valid coping mechanism, and there was no doubt in my mind that Bayfront Park would shed the memory of the shooting and go full steam ahead with the New Year's Eve bash tonight. Though I dwelt on the hopeful resilience of mankind, a more cynical part of me also knew the celebrations would be a prime target for a crazed militia. But the police weren't stupid. They knew that too. Any gathering of that magnitude would have an army of good guys watching. I”
