Sometimes I think it is as if my husband was a great tree and I stunted from living in his shadow.
That pretty much says it all. Florence Hardy does nothing but whine about poor me. Husband--Thomas Hardy--isn't much better. All he does is fantasize about a young married woman, a new mother. He's 84, she is in her 20s and has no idea that he is infatuated with her. Two sad, miserable people. I can't take much more.
