I’ve been a teacher for the better part of twenty years, a book blogger, and a contributing editor at Book Riot. I love to read across genres, but the books that ground me are cozy, low-drama stories with quick-moving plots.

In the summer of 2025, I went through one of my biggest reading slumps of my life — so I ended up doing what the old adage suggests: I wrote the book I wanted to read. Living in that world was so much fun that I came up with ideas for three more books in the series (and plenty more are still spinning in my head).

I’m hoping readers will find both a dose of comfort and a cure for a reading slump in my quick, cozy, plot-driven books. If you do, please share — I love connecting and talking with other readers!
