This is the fourth book in the series and I love this family. The Wildes have a troubled past and each member is suffering and trying to deal with it in different ways.

This installment addresses Jaden Wilde and the disappointment he faces from a rejected marriage proposal to his girlfriend Megan. Everything he has been planning for years is disrupted. Not only that, but Arsula, the woman he blames for influencing Megan’s decision, is nothing more than a new arrival in town who just happens to be a dream interpreter. Jaden winds up getting drunk at the wedding and wakes up the next morning with Arsula. During an argument between them, Arsula throws a lamp at him which causes him to fall and break his ankle. He has to have emergency surgery. But when it is time for him to leave the hospital, he refuses to go home with any family members. A suggestion is made that he reside in a sitting room in his sister Dani’s business. It just so happens that Arsula works with Dani and lives in an apartment above the business. Jaden agrees and moves in.

From Arsula’s perspective, she came to Birch Bay because she felt that she was being guided there to find someone who needed her help. Who that was became clear from the events the night of the wedding and the next morning. Jaden was the person she was meant to help. Once Jaden moves into the business below Arsula, she agrees to help take care of him and has the opportunity to fulfill her prophecy. But she has her own problems which need addressing and whether or not she can help Jaden and herself remains a question.

Can these two troubled people reach out to each other and improve themselves individually? And can some work and healing prepare them for a better future? This is a good romance that keeps one guessing throughout most of the book. Does help mean getting one to face their problems so they can move on or does it possibly mean that two hurting individuals can find each other? Can one’s original dreams of happiness evolve over time to become even better than they hoped? You’ll have to read the book to find out those answers. ...more "
