Jim Ryan’s true origins are unknown, but he is rumored to have escaped from a secret government facility in his infancy and has been roaming the countryside frightening unsuspecting villagers ever since. He spent a good portion of his youth in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and later obtained a degree in Dramatic Arts from Coastal Carolina University In an attempt to better insinuate himself into human society. The plan didn’t work, but instead led to a whirlwind of fun and exciting theatrical projects from which he is still recovering.

Jim is the author of "Abduction Etiquette," a book of whimsical monologues for those who enjoy being eccentric. He also hosts a world-creation podcast called "Crucible of Realms," in which he, the other hosts a ...more

DISCUSSION: Two-Part Session Zeroes

Sara and I talk about the value of taking Session Zero (a meeting that a tabletop gaming group holds prior to starting a new campaign) and splitting it into two separate sessions. There are a number of benefits to it! Especially for folks who record actual plays.
