| Wow, wow, wow. Have been meaning to read this, but it took One Philly, One Book to get me to grab a copy. What a beautiful, intense, and powerful story. It's uncanny how closely it parallels some of todays world, even it the history. Ng's notes after ...more | |

| I've put this one aside for now. I used to like time travel books a lot but I find they're interesting me less and less. Had high hopes for this one from reviews I'd read, but it's somehow not resonating and I'm almost halfway in. (I'm sure it's my p ...more | |

| Beyond the jagged, beautiful coast of Penobscot Bay, scattered across the water, like stones thrown from a giant hand, lie hundreds of islands, some vacant, some settled by the sturdy folks of Down East Maine. One island is the home of the descendant ...more | |

No longer a member of the group on goodreads! I'm still on bc-not ready to give up on it despite its problems! I'll be keeping my eye on Alternate Bookcrossers and might join that at some point.

I just read your comments about the new rules for the bookcrossing group and I'm glad I'm not a member now. I don't always post in the groups that I'm in but I read a lot of the threads and discussions, getting new ideas for books. I don't always have time to post on each site and don't like the idea of being told what to do and how often to post.Good for you for defending the lurkers! I'm glad I'm no longer a member!
