Brigita Orel spends her days translating books from English into Slovenian. Before that she worked as a subtitler, proof-reader, assistant accountant (the most surreal job as most of the time she can't put two and two together), cleaner and baker assistant. She has a PhD in Creative writing (Swansea University). She published short stories and poems in various journals. 2025 didn’t exactly start with a bang. The whole family was ill during the holidays and into the first week of the new year with a short respite on New Year’s Eve when we had visitors from Sicily and had a lot of fun celebrating with them.
