Russian by birth, American by miracle of allowed legal immigration and by choice.

I am a Soviet born American Jew. I was born in and left Soviet Union, while it was and in some cases still is, oppressive and socialist nation. I love America and being an American. I could never understand, why would people willingly give up their freedom!!

By having written in some social media sources, I have decided to start putting those writings together and combine them into one source, one vehicle of communicating to other what I had to say, hence the idea came out to write a book. “Scholars and enlightened always want to define the differences between communism, socialism, fascism and other economic or political systems. It really doesn't matter to those who are subjected to those societies how someone has articulated their misery.”
Jake Danishevsky, AfterTastes and Tales from Russia

“I am a Soviet born American Jew. I was born in and left Soviet Union, while it was and in some cases still is, oppressive and socialist nation. I love America and being an American. I could never understand, why would people willingly give up their freedom!!”
Jake Danishevsky

“My family came to this country to take advantage of opportunity, not to take advantage of America.”
Jake Danishevsky, AfterTastes and Tales from Russia

“Socialism is a wonderful idea. It is only as a reality that it has been disastrous. Among people of every race, color, and creed, all around the world, socialism has led to hunger in countries that used to have surplus food to export.... Nevertheless, for many of those who deal primarily in ideas, socialism remains an attractive idea -- in fact, seductive. Its every failure is explained away as due to the inadequacies of particular leaders. ”
Thomas Sowell

“I am for doing good to the poor, but...I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. I observed...that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.”
Benjamin Franklin

“I want you to know that also I will not make age an issue of this campaign. I am not going to exploit, for political purposes, my opponent's youth and inexperience.”
Ronald Reagan

“While the State exists, there can be no freedom. When there is freedom there will be no State.”
Vladimir Lenin, Estado y revolución
