Lea Carter doesn’t remember a time before books. Raised on classic authors like Louis L’Amour, L.M. Montgomery, Emilie Baker Loring, and Isaac Asimov, she has a strong appreciation for clean, character-driven stories.

If book passports existed, she’d have a stack of them, with many return visits to her favorite places and people.

She writes mostly to satisfy her imaginary friends’ desire for fame.

If I can get enough of a scene written down before my mind has jumped to something else, then I can usually remember it (vividly) if I happen to come back to it. Most of my scene ideas just sit and gather dust, though. If I had bona fide story ideas, I suppose I would dedicate a binder or a spiral notebook--or a digital folder--to them. (less)

"2.5 stars. This was a rendition of the classic children's story of Lady and the Tramp, so it had great potential! I loved how the romance started with them being strangers to each other, but finding each other in the crowd and having their eyes meet," Read more of this review »

Lea Carter is 33% done with The Lady and the Gent: I'm not sure why I'm still listening to this. They've taken the Lord's name in vain, she's currently in a highly improbable situation, and I'm just generally not enjoying it.
I'll likely never believe a story where someone knuckles under this completely when they don't have to. She'd have been better off running away to her horrid aunt's home before things got this bad. She keeps despairing and doing zilch.
