S.E. Martens is a Canadian indie author. They grew up in Northern Ontario, with the moose, bears and serious amounts of snow. A library and information technician by training, they have enjoyed more than a decade working in the world of public libraries.

They are drawn to all things weird and spooky, but also superheroes, science fiction and fantasy. Their work blends genre with surreal, dreamlike imagery.

Their poetry has appeared in Strange Horizons, The Literary Hatchet, Star*Line, and more.

Writing Update + Castle Xenon

Things are progressing well with Blue Odyssey! It's a thrill to be connecting with my writing again. I'm more than 100 pages in and enjoying the ride. We get to explore more of Elysion this time around and meet a ton of new characters. I'm trying to work out how to keep it from being overwhelming for the reader, but also reveling in the fantasy tropes! Stay tuned!

Loved that we (finally!) got to see more of Lex, and that he finally got to spend time with Clark. Their misadventure in Russia was fantastic. I still don't care about the "Crisis" storyline, but their battle with the Monitor was excellently done. We ...more
