Great!
Btw, here's some random cuteness I saw over at SBTB.

Sounds like a great group and I love the couple and premise of the vid. :-)

I had to leave to go to church tonight. Revival. I think I have to wait until tomorrow to say something on Tell Harlequin board. I've signed up and I can't wait.
Rae that video was so cute. I loved it. It has so many layers. It is a metaphor for the fear of embarking on an interracial relationship. Love the predatory look he gave her when he saw her hanging laundry, and I like that he was a nerd. Thanks so much for sharing. It made my day.
So true, Danielle! It's very layered and so cute. I like that it's uplifting as well.
Btw, Arch, I noticed you added the Strange Days screenplay. If you like cyberpunk, wild futuristic, check out the movie. It's very visceral and way ahead of its time when it came out in '95.
The last scene is my fave: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFIdKR...
Good ole fashioned HEA. :-)

I've added a screenplay about Strange Days? I didn't perceive that I did.
I'll see you ladies Thursday. I just came online, before I left to check my email. Time is going fast. My ride will soon be here. Too bad, I'm going away for work. I can't wait until I take my vacation, which is coming soon, after State and Jacho comes. Which, should be later this month or early next month.

I've seen what you was talking about Rae, about Strange Days. That was a mistake. I was looking for interracial books to put on my wish list. I didn't pick that book, but I must have selected it by mistake. I don't recall which book I was trying to get. I'm removing that from my list.
No problem. :-) It's actually pretty good though.
Did everyone remember to grab their 16 free Harlequin books btw?

Danielle
Where did you get the Moon Dravian? From which bookstore? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Thanks
Justine

I've just become a member of this group. 14 March 09. Learned of it from Amazon IR forum
Justine
I read For Love's Sake Only by Lena Matthews. I am curious about the story with her friend.
I'll have to look up Loving CeeCee Johnson. Thanks for the heads up, Eugenia.

Hi Justine. I got it from a smaller epress. I'll check when I get home. It's saved on my computer. Let me get back to you on that.

Does CeeCee Johnson have a HEA for the IRR? I'm sorry to be so lame but inquiring minds must know. I didn't realize that the version of Charlotte and Ty's story is longer in The Blacker the Berry. Hmmm.

Thanks for humoring me Eugenia. I get really annoyed when they set up a book for an IR and they don't stay together. I don't know why but that bothers me.

That was no chore to talk about Taken by Storm. I loved it, Marie. It totally has a Diana Palmer vibe. She's a favorite author of mine. If you don't mind me saying so, it was gutsy to have Storm do something so awful to Syleena. It paid off for me.

I'd have to agree with you there. It's kinda of a bummer if they don't end up together.

Happy Easter, ladies.
Arch, I am a little late in answering, but I think you would like Blind Faith by Patricia Haley. Technically, the man is bi-racial, but it brought up so late in the book that it seems kind of anti-climatic.
I think you would like it if you haven't read it before.

Have you read either Against the Wind by Gwynne Forster or Back to Life by Wendy Coakley-Thompson?
I haven't read that second one, but I have heard some positive buzz on it

I've read both
I've read Against the Wind once. And I've read Back to Life twice.
I've read certain parts of Back to Life - 3 or 4 times

I just finished Fire and Ice by Anne Stuart. The hero is Japanese and the heroine is White American. It was awesome. Reno was so hot and conflicted and intense.
It was really good. I need to post a review, but I won't get to it tonight. Maybe tomorrow evening to help unwind.

Some people hated that I did that to Syleena, but I thought it fit Storm's personality. He was a hard man to love but in the end I think it paid off.

Definitely, gamma.

Storm might be a bit of a gamma, now that I think about it. Hmm...

Anyway, back to Misconceptions. I have noticed that Mrs. Starr has quite the penchant for pregnancies and multiples. I was just glad that there was only one baby in this one. I thought it was interesting to see more of the male's perspective and insecuriies re: a realtionship. Though I am completely sick of TJ, I will read "Ironic" to see if he was worthy of redemption.

Lonestarpt wrote: "I just finished Misconceptions by Pamela Leigh Starr. It's an interracial with a BM and WW. I must admit that it's the first one I've ever read and I only read it because it was part of a series...."
I have this book at home. I am also a series whore. Ironic sounds really intriguing and I will probably read it before Misconceptions.

I love redemption stories.
I love redemption stories.

I have the series it's in my TBR pile.... I like series also.... I'm currently reading DO NOT GO GENTLY by Judith Smith-Levin... I've read the others... I'm waiting for her to finish here series...

I finished Ironic last night. I thought it was pretty good. I was really wanting to see how they with the whole issue of TJ being a white supremist. I thought it was overall a pretty good book, but the ending seemed kind of rushed. I think that about all of her books, though. I think she does a really good job developing the story, but seems in too big of a hurry to get things tied up at the end.
Anyway, I still have Storm left to read and then I am going to start Unfinished Business.
