I'm rereading with our Buddy Read and enjoying them more than ever. With all my other reads, around 2 a month works out well for me.

I've pre-ordered Concealed in Death on my Kindle. I read the first chapter (it starts with Rourke) at her site http://www.jdrobb.com/about/news.php Looks good:)

I am currently reading #28 which is Promises in Death. I am very much enjoying this one. I both want it to end and not. I want to know who did it. But when I do, it'll be over.

I just finished Immortal In Death , and just loved it. I really like Peabody -- she's a hoot, and Nadine is growing on me too. :-) I think this is the best one so far (reading the series in order). Next up for me in February will be #4, Rapture in Death .

Immortal sealed this series for me, even though I was kind of hooked after the first book. Enjoy Rapture.

I bought the first 8 books just before Christmas when they were on sale for Kindle. I inhaled them. Now I'm doing a re-read and just started #4 - Rapture in Depth. I hope to catch up to the monthly reading group for February.

I agree, Donna. Immortal seals the deal and is a great stepping stone into the rest of the series. I always tell newcomers to read the first 3 books, at least, starting out. By then, most are hooked!
The Buddy Read is moving slow, Elle, you'll catch us in no time!

Yay Penni...you finally meet Roarke! I think you'll love this series. We'll discuss it in the BR's thread with you!

I finished Loyalty a couple of weeks back and I've been holding off reading the next one. I want to go through it with the BR. But it's killing me!!! :)

I know, Teri! Try not to get too far ahead of us! It's just hard to push ahead with much speed and keep everyone on the same book as people are at such different places in their lives and reading schedules. Let's see who else is still reading Loyalty and we can then get a timeline for moving ahead.

My library started a reservation for Concealed in Death (the eBook). I'm first on the list because I made the recommendation!! Can't believe it and I'll get it right after midnight on the 18th.

I have read all of the books up to what is out now, I may have missed one of the novellas. I am currently collecting the series in hardback but I have been buying them in order and rereading them as I get them. So right now I am on Immortal in Death

Have you checked out our Buddy Reads? Sandra's been leading the re-read of the series and they're just starting Witness. But, jump into the discussions anytime.

The new (not yet out) book is available at some libraries (via Overdrive) for pre-order. Get in line now before the line gets really long.

Maggie, I'd love to collect the hardbacks. I finally have almost all of them in paperback...and am building my ebook library as I reread in the BR's.
Everyone, please feel free to jump into the BR's anytime. We're beginning Witness in Death.

because the opening chapter always makes me laugh. My best friend moved from our town over to County Clare for a year and the Shannon to Tulla road is exactly as she describes it... Scheming cows and all :D
I'm rereading the series, starting from book 1. I'm already on Rapture in Death. I love reading when Eve gets married, it's absolutely perfect.

, I actually took a little break about a third into this. For some reason the plot was annoying me but when I went back to it all was Ok and it was a great read.

Yes Jonetta, the beginning was unsettling, and not because of the subject matter re the homeless, but the interaction between Eve and Bowers (female cop out to get Eve). I really felt it didn't ring true that a cop could get away with being quite that insuburdinate especially since she had a history of that behavior. But I got over it :) and the rest of the book was really great.

I also wondered why she had just continually been moved around instead of really being disciplined. But I liked the way everyone kept warning Eve that she should watch her back and keep an eye on her - that she was not to be trusted. Eve doesn't perceive herself as having that many true friends.

Bowers was kind of like a problem child no one wanted to deal with so she kept on getting passed around to other departments until she went head to head with Eve.

It is a bit frustrating having to wait for a new book to came out, but only one week to go and the timing is perfect because it is my birthday on the 19th so it is a great present.
I thing after that it will be even more difficult to wait but I am planning to start re-reading the series and have so many other books that were left behind while I devoured the In Death series that I will have a lot to read meanwhile.
