4.5★ (rounded up to 5) for Aussie author Dean Mayes's terrific medical, cyber-hacking novel Recipient.I've just re-read the final version, and it was even better the second time around. Complex but easy to follow. Frighteningly believable. I recommend it!

Yes, I did enjoy #2 and #1.
Just finished

I don't normally write reviews, but thought I would add a few words for this one. A new author and this book is the first in a series set in Donegal, Ireland. A modern day village crime novel, it has a real sense of place, enough to make me pull out the atlas, and reading up a little on the area it is set in.
For a new author, giving this one 4 stars. Will now try to track down number 2 in the series.
My reviews for books read earlier in the month:

I read these books 10 or more years ago, and then Paretsky had a long gap before writing the next book in the series, and I have never gone back to read the newer books. Your post has reminded me to add them to my list. The only problem is, it has been so long that I will want to go back and re-read the earlier ones..... arrrggghhh!
My review for Ink and Bone by Lisa Unger which I also read mid-month - 5★s
