Currently reading/Just finished! CLOSED
I've just posted a review for Frog Music - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... I'm currently reading Rotten Gods, about 50% through.
It's one of those books that you can't rush, the theme and amount of detail in this book can be a little heavy. Also I'm not use to the foreign name/places so I lose my way at times.
However, I'm really enjoying the thrill of the plot, it's a frightening and realistic look at our future and thought provoking book.
Great review, Mish. I've not read anything by either of these authors. I do have Room sitting on by bookshelf which I hope to get to soon :)

Roomis vastly different in theme and style of writing but such an amazing book. In both books she really knows how to draw you into the characters to make them feel alive and real.
I'm sure you're going to really like Room when you get around to it :) Enjoy!
I finished
The Ugly Man (Short Story) A Dani Lancing Story by P.D. Viner last night...

Great review, Brenda. I hope to read this one soon :)
Great review, Brenda. Is this a stand alone one of his?I can't believe I'm reading something you haven't lol
Yes it's a standalone Sharon:)Thanks!
I'll have to see if you like That Night - it's on my TBR, been there since November, but it's also on my wish list! lol

Hi all :) what is everyone reading this weekend?I'm still at Rotten Gods but I'm at the tail end of it, and it's improved dramatically. Once I got past the 50% mark, it's become less descriptive and more plot driven. It’s absolutely riveting and explosive atm, and would love to read his next 2 books :)
I hope you do Mish...they are even better!
I've just finished Nest by Inga Simpson and I'm not sure what I'm picking up next:)

I hope it's a good one. I like the sound of the blurbs.
I'm reading Dog Will Have His Day. I remember now how much I like this author and how little known she is.
Sounds good Elaine...I had to check the author's profile when I saw "Fred" and you put "she"...lol

I'm reading Whispers at the wall byAlicia Hope. I never thought I would be into ghost stories but I'm really enjoying Alicia's books.

She's really good Mish and I love her Commissaire Adamsberg. He's a real character.

It's funny how we branch out in our genres isn't it!

I might have to give it a try. The books are not very big and I do like a detective with a bit of personality.
Looking at her profile, is this the book i should start off with... The Chalk Circle Man ?

Yes Mish that's the first in the series. It gets a bit confusing here on GR cause her books are listed in French and English. I've read all the Adamsberg ones except the latest one and yet I noticed looking at it here for some reason not all of them had been added. I hope you enjoy it when you get to it. I really did and still am.

Great :) I'm always up to trying someone new to me, and recommended.
Ooh I just looked Want You Dead up Peter....you have an ARC? It shows not to be released until November (though I see original publish date is June) His latest...let us know what you think, won't you:)
Ok, will do. Interesting so far. Don't understand the release date as I enquired at a bookstore and they were able to get it in next week.
You must have one that was released in June then. It's often the way with different countries, different release dates:) Enjoy!
