Caedy Eries (karida) | 5 comments Shawna, my library does the same thing. In fact I just got Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #1) by J.R. Ward from Overdrive. *G*

I've also got Touch of Frost (Mythos Academy, #1) by Jennifer Estep and Hunted (House of Night, #5) by P.C. Cast in physical copy. Also, waiting to hear back on Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn in audio format.

My sister lives in FL and her library does has that to. I have checked out numerous audiobooks from her library. I love it!

I've heard very good things about The Indigo Spell. I have Shadow of Night, but haven't read it yet.

Lucky, whenever I try to get the Indigo spell, it always doesn't let me. SO FUSTRATING

Katy H (the_other_katy) | 66 comments My local library lets us borrow e-books in theory, which is great since I have an auto immune disorder and get sick very easily - interestingly enough because of the meds I take to combat it rather than the disease itself - (like if someone with the beginnings of a cold or anything sneezes on a library book, or licks their finger and then turns a page, I could be sick for weeks. Stupid, right? I'm pretty sure that's how I got swine flu several years ago, actually and I was sick for months when I had that. It's REALLY obnoxious, much like I am =P) Unfortunately, our library's system requires me to download the borrowed books to a computer, then transfer to my nook or Kindle, which kind of defeats the purpose IMO. Maybe I'm just spoiled though...

message 64: by Katy (new)

Katy H (the_other_katy) | 66 comments All my whining about central Texas's e-lending program aside, I recently borrowed the 3rd book from Chanda Hahn's Unfortunate Fairytale series, "Fable" from my friend Sandra via Barnes and Noble nook's Lend Me feature and have been enjoying it recently. =)

message 65: by Tasha (new)

Tasha | 207 comments I just joined the other day (have had trouble returning books in the past) and got Bitter Blood, Nightshade, Wolfsbane and Bloodrose. They don't have the last 2 Morganville Vampire books though, which I was disappointed in, and the librarian told me nothing about how many books I could take out or anything, just how to use the computers, which I found pretty sad

message 66: by Holly (new)

Holly (squareconverse) Recently checked out: Tales from Foster High (Tales from Foster High, #1-3) by John Goode and Fallout by Nikki Tate in ebook copies (Overdrive is so confusing somtimes).

Have these in hardback, but they all need returned: The Forest of Hands and Teeth (The Forest of Hands and Teeth, #1) by Carrie Ryan Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children, #1) by Ransom Riggs The Maze Runner (Maze Runner, #1) by James Dashner

I have Deeper (Caroline & West, #1) by Robin York which I need to finish before it's due and Upon the Midnight Clear (Dream-Hunter, #2) by Sherrilyn Kenyon which is killing me to get to. I just have two more to finish before I'm on it.

I love Overdrive. Since I have gotten that I hardly ever go to the library anymore and never have fees. It's kind of a double edged sword though because I really loved going to the library but just didn't have the time.

message 70: by Sophie (new)

Sophie | 22 comments I've just borrowed Autumn by David Moody and Teardrop (Teardrop, #1) by Lauren Kate . I haven't used my local library since I was a child but with books being so expensive these days and the fact that I rarely re-read books it seems a little pointless to buy new books if I can borrow them and stop them taking up space on my already crammed bookshelves!

message 71: by Caedy (new)

Caedy Eries (karida) | 5 comments I grabbed these three from the library:
Soul Enchilada by David Macinnis Gill
Eighth Grade Bites (The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod, #1) by Heather Brewer
The Demon's Lexicon (The Demon's Lexicon, #1) by Sarah Rees Brennan

I LOVE the fact that I live only a block and a half to two blocks away from my local library. It's absolutely fantastic. :)
