This isn't true across the board, but there's definitely been a lot of popular books that have left me going HUH?
Currently reading
, really good so far and excited to finish the series finally. I also started
today as a buddy read with a friend. I had started this previously but got distracted haha! Excited to re-enter the world of Winterfell!
I finished
and I enjoyed it, fun read!
Next I'm reading
, which was recommended by a friend, and sounds a bit like Ready Player One, but more thriller style. Excited to read it!

@karen I was going to choose Outlander but I only have the first two books and one of my IG friends is going to buddy read GoT with me! I'm already 3-4 chapters into GoT and loving it! Going to watch Season 1 along with it! Plus, this gives me more time to collect the Outlander books haha!

Just finished Passenger by Alexandra Bracken. It was really good! It completely sucked me in tonight. It's one of two and I'm definitely excited for the second installment. It felt very fresh to me. Now jumping into Truthwitch by Susan Dennard. Definitely excited for this one too!
Proud mom moment! I just got my 18-year-old son to pick up The Knife of Never Letting Go at the library tonight! He is actually excited to read it. He is reading it for Lit class but he's reading it! #momgoals

As a book lover and an author, that totally bums me out.
@Teresa my daughter, who is 13 and dyslexic, loves to read like me. My son admittedly loves his video games/Xbox more than reading and has never much liked to read.....I feel your pain.

My son is addicted, but my girls could care less about them. A lot of my friends tell me it's the same for them.
@Teresa my boy is 18 and has been addicted to his Xbox for a very long time! If that boy could design video games for a living I think he would haha!

You sure they are reading the right books?
You know the saying, there is a book for everyone. I belive that very much, have they discovered harry potter? pjo? both series reluctant readers love. Try audiobooks, many people I know dislike reading but love audiobooks.

I finnished Winter. It was a great ending to the series, though a very long one.I'm still reading The Undead Pool, and have also started reading Lost in the labyrinth of my mind and The Sword of Summer.
I posted a few times about a year ago and have lurked ever since! I hope to start contributing again. I just completed
which I loved and am now reading
. Over the holidays, I read
,
, and
. I loved Rot and Ruin and Wither (pleasantly surprised because of the mixed reviews). I was a little disappointed by What's Left of Me.

Still reading Six of Crows, but I picked up Nimona from the library as well as some other books that I plan on reading as I also read books from my shelf.
Just finished another nonfiction read,
and I LOVED it! I've always been a huge fan of Drew. And she's was Darryl's big crush growing up :D

Rereading
and started
. Both are really really good!! I'm going to fall behind on my GRs goal big time. I'll have to find a few novellas to read afterwards to catch up! ;)

Lol! Although I was a huge reader as a kid (way more than my friends), I too was addicted to video games (Nintendo 64 and PlayStation at the time) :)

I'm still reading
, but I'm not loving it. I started
on my kindle because I've had it for YEARS but I'm not sure I'll stick with it. I'm kind of in a rut and am thinking about starting something else. :/
Finally finished:
Gahh it took me forever! I liked it, but I didn't love it. The format was interesting, but for the most part I just found it kinda distracting. And I just wasn't super invested in the plot. Ah well.
Now I am starting:
Finished Six of Crows. I HATED the ending! Now I'm going to be worrying about what is happening to Inej. Thanks Leigh Bardugo. Moving on to Saint Anything and Play it as it Lays.

I also know a lot of people who claimed not to enjoy reading that much who utterly devoured Neal Shusterman's works. I have never met a person who didn't like Unwind.
