As I got to know the character more, it became a non-factor for me as well. By chapter 4 I no longer even noticed it.

Even though I'm only halfway through I would definitely recommend it. I'm not in love with her writing style but the characters are great and the world development is lovely. :)

Yeah Tommy, I had a time getting used to the use of language but once I did it was really good.

After just reading the first 5 reviews on here of that Black & Ice I can tell it is not for me! I skipped her other series as well after being warned away (Hush Hush). Some authors are just not for me.

Tommy in my opionion TKONLG was the weakest of the three books! You are in for a treat my friend (and many many more feels!) Gah! I loved the second book. Sooooo good.

If this series ends up being half as good as you guys thought(and book 1+ the first 5 chapters of book 2 lead me to believe it very likely will) I can see it raising the bar for me for a while.
I'd love for these to be turned into movies. We should force everyone to read them and sign petitions haha.

Tommy last I checked Chaos was in "in development" so at least it is on the movie radar. His other book A Monster Calls is in pre-production and has a cast so that is a good sign. Liam Neeson is cast as The Monster so I am psyched! Sigourney Weaver is also in it as the grandmother. Woot!

I've read A Monster Calls recently, it was really well done, one I'd call a painfully beautiful book. I had no idea it was going to be a film!
