You should...I am half way through and its one of those books that shocks you. No one is safe! Its a different take on a zombie book.....I am really enjoying it. I am reading it with my daughter and last night she was like OMG they killed him! I had to bite my tongue cause I wasnt sure which character she was at since she is behind me!

Has anyone else read the Life As We Knew It (Last Survivors, #1) by Susan Beth Pfeffer series? I just finished the third book and am starting the 4th. I don't know, there's not much action in this series, but for some reason I'm really enjoying it. I like the characters and cried when one of them died in the third book. I feel connected to them :)

Oh awesome! I enjoyed the first and the third a lot more than the second one, Miranda is still my favorite character :) I really hate the main character in the second book, who then appears in the third book. Actually he wasn't awful in the second book but he was so annoying in the third book. So far I'm really enjoying the 4th book, despite the awful reviews. It's almost like a completely new series, with a whole new world to build up. So far so good!

message 8035: by Cindee (new)

Cindee | 331 comments David I read that series as well. not the fourth one tho. I started it but just read a preview of it to see if it would grab me. the first book was awesome! I couldnt put it down, I was so excited when I noticed a second book. But yeah, the main character wasnt a favorite. And I really didnt enjoy reading the exact same novel again but from a different point of view, because while their lives were different where they lived, it was basically the exact same book, with the first being ten times better. I did like the third when they all joined up together. However, going into the fourth book, your right its like a different novel all together, especially for someone that read the series a couple years ago, I cant really rememeber what happenend, just that I didnt want to read that second book again it was painful lol. Glad you are liking the fourth, I want to finish it too.

Belkis (bminaya) | 133 comments Finished Ruin and Rising (The Grisha, #3) by Leigh Bardugo and loved it. Then finished Butterfly Tattoo by Deidre Knight and enjoyed it a lot. Then read Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma and it broke my heart. Totally wrecked me and I'm still thinking about it. Will probably stay with me for a very long time. Loved it. Terribly hauntingly beautiful. Now reading Rock Chick Rescue (Rock Chick, #2) by Kristen Ashley and loving it so far.

I liked the first book, but I couldn't finish the second so I stopped reading the series. I just didn't connect with the characters, and there was so little happening that I just couldn't get myself to push through.
