H - Thief of Hearts, Elizabeth Hoyt
O - Animal Farm, George Orwell
L - Fantasy Lover, Sherrilyn Kenyon
I listened to the audio book, and enjoyed both the VO Talent (Hunter Graham) and the story very much. It's fun reading Nick Gautier's back-story, and is making me want to read some of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series all over again.
I LOVE KAREN MARIE MONING'S FEVER SERIES!!! Have I told y'all that yet?! LOL!! The illustrations in this graphic novel are just STUNNING! And for those who aren't familiar with the FEVER world, she gives enough of the back story to make it enjoyable for non-fanatics, too.
A - A Return Engagement, Stephanie Laurens
FINALLY! I've read all of the Fifty Shades series. The beginning of the series wasn't what I expected, but when I realized that the trilogy was a love story with erotic sex scenes, instead of an erotic book with a marginal plotline, I really enjoyed it all. Not real sure about all this "mommy porn" stuff, 'cuz I don't know about y'all, but some of the stuff I've read in the romance novels we read is a lot more blatant than this was...Anyhow - - it's a good series...but I'm glad it's over. Don't think I could have handled any more.
AND AGAIN TODAY!!WLLK August Spell It Out Challenge
4/7
Now that I've "embraced" the darkness of Hoyt's Maiden Lane series, I enjoy the books much more. Loved Winter's slow "thawing" (heeheehee); Isabel is grace and strength personified. As much as anything, I really like all the little loose ends that Hoyt left, so she can continue writing stories in this world.

This was a re-read for me. It's been too long since I started reading Sherrilyn Kenyon, and she was one of the first paranormal romance authors my GF recommended. Since I'm reading Chronicles of Nick, I wanted the basis again. The re-read was even better than I remembered! SO much fun reliving Grace and Julian's romance!

As part of my resolution to read and/or re-read classics, I wanted this to be one of the first. I remember the impact it had on me as a teenager, and it continues to do so today. All animals are created equal - but some are more equal than others. Wow...

Sweet novella in an anthology. No real conflict or conflicted feelings, but a couple comes together again after many years as a result of her sister and his boss (a prince). Nice way to fall asleep, LOL!

Thanks ladies! Congrats Trish!Lisa Kay wrote: "I have The Great Escape on audio... just haven't gotten to it yet. **sigh**"
I listened to it on audio & loved it! The narration was good, but of course not as good as Anna Fields, she was amazing.
