Does anyone know when the September challenge will be posted? I'm trying to be patient. But I'm not being too successful. I'm going to wear out my carpet from all my pacing.
Bookchaser wrote: "Does anyone know when the September challenge will be posted? I'm trying to be patient. But I'm not being too successful. I'm going to wear out my carpet from all my pacing."Me too! It usually takes me a little while to figure out which books I want to read!

You are not the only ones!! Patience is a virtue and I practice it regularly. I have to because I'm not very good at it!
I'm with all of you. I'm at that point where I'm almost afraid to start a new book because I just know whatever I start will be the perfect book to fill a difficult slot next month!
~KarenH~ wrote: "I'm with all of you. I'm at that point where I'm almost afraid to start a new book because I just know whatever I start will be the perfect book to fill a difficult slot next month!"Lol Karen! I go through that every month :)

It takes me a while to choose books too. I like to have a mix of paperbacks, e-pubs/Kindle books and audiobooks. I try to read a few off my TBR pile and the rest from OverDrive or the library.

The September Monthly Challenge is coming! Vi is hosting and has had it ready for awhile now. Just waiting for Yz to send her the geography category. She must be having a very busy week. Any minute now, I promise!

Carrie wrote: "So close to having 10/10 a first for me, but I'm stuck on the sister day category. Sigh."I'm reading a Lucky Harbor book for that - I think any of them fit!

That would be helpful. Thank you.

Hi Carrie,
Keep in mind that it's siblings (not just sisters) or friends, so that opens it up a lot. I think almost anything by Lisa Kleypas (at least her series books), Jill Shalvis, Susan Mallery, and a lot of Nora Roberts would work, not to mention things like the Black Dagger Brotherhood or Lara Adrian's Midnight Breeds series. Probably most military/paramilitary stories would work, too (the whole "band of brothers" thing).
I'm sure Fran will have some more specific suggestions, too - she's very good at that!
Hi Carrie,Karen gave you some great ideas. You have a few Lisa Kleypas on your tbr as well as Julia Quinn. Quinn's series beginning with The Duke And I is great and revolves around siblings. Kleypas' Wallflower series deals with best friends and her Hathaway series is about siblings I think.
Some other titles I liked-
Friends-
Party Naked
Sophie & Carter
A Kiss for Luck
Understood
Overheard
Happy Hour
Seven Minutes in Heaven
Sugar and Spice
Siblings-
Angelfall
Delaney's Desert Sheikh
Come Monday
Also Christine Feehan's Ghostwalker series is excellent, based on a military/band of brothers scenario. The first one is Shadow Game. Another of her series, Drake Sisters is based on a group of sisters with special abilities. The first one is Magic in the Wind (Drake Sisters, #1).
Hope this list helps. Many of the titles are on my 'kls' shelf and lendable for kindle. Please feel free to check out my shelf and borrow what you like :)

Wow Fran thanks for the list :) And thank you Karen as well for you suggestions. Time to check them out.
Fran, every time you make recommendations to someone, my wishlist grows. I can't decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing! :D
Fran wrote: "It's going to be very hard for me this month with the PIFM! I love giving recs :)"You can give me recs anytime!!
We'll all suffer through it together Fran. If I'm lucky enough to have you as my picker, feel free to put any of those on my list ;-)
